Sumei Chew was born to create. Living in LA for almost 7 years, her early days were spent designing for the Hollywood crowd before returning to Singapore where she designed display apartments and homes, fine dining restaurants and 5 star hotels like the Crown Plaza in Quanzhou and the Inter continental in Dubai Festival City. About a year ago, during her visit to the down under she fell in love with the city and people of Perth and decided to stay for good.
After making Perth her home, she has established her design practice with a unique focus on creating spaces that are not only aesthetically driven but also health generative, nurturing and transformative. Depending on the client’s intent the transformation could be in efficiency and effectiveness or in the area of lifestyle and well being. With her wide exposure to designing health spas for many hotels this feat have not been difficult to achieve.
Due to her passion for working with nature she has pursued formal studies and acquired exposure in the design of gardens and landscapes. Hence she is able to incorporated landscape design into her repertoire.
